Tamarind and the Star of Ishta – Jasbinder Bilan

Description

Tamarind’s mother, Chinty, died soon after she was born, and Tamarind has grown up in England knowing almost nothing about her. When she travels with her father and stepmother to stay with her mother’s family in a big old mansion in the Himalayas, no one wants to talk about the past.

But exploring the house and the mountains, Tamarind finds clues — an abandoned hut, a monkey, a glowing ring and a mysterious girl called Ishta — that lead her towards the truth. A magical adventure for readers aged 9 and up from Costa Award-winning author Jasbinder Bilan.
