Never Thought I’d end up here – Ann Liang

Description

Leah Zhang has lived her whole life in Los Angeles. She’s forgotten most of her Mandarin, doesn’t care much for etiquette and can barely hold a conversation with her grandparents. So when she accidentally wishes ill health and an unhappy marriage on her cousin at the cousin’s wedding, her parents decide enough is enough — and send her on a two-week intensive travel programme through China to reconnect with her roots.

Leah just sees it as a break from real life. A story of family, identity and belonging from Ann Liang.
