The Orange Hill is a collection of poems written originally in Assamese by Jiban Narah, an acclaimed poet in Assamese language and translated into the English by various translators.

Jiban Narah has 13 publications to his credit, including poetry, a novel, a collection of personal essays, and a compilation of Mishing folk poetry translated into Assamese from the original Mishing.

The Buddha and other poems is his English collection (Monsoon Edition, Calicut, and Kerala. Translated from the Assamese by Pradip Acharya, Krishna Dulal Barua and Niren Thakuria).

His poems have been translated into English, Polish and several Indian languages and appeared in anthologies and journals, including The Telegraph, Indian literature, Samakalin Bharatiya Sahitya
