Invisible Helix – Keigo Higashino

Description

A young man is found shot and floating in Tokyo Bay. His girlfriend, a victim of domestic abuse, reported him missing a week earlier — and has since vanished herself. She seems the obvious suspect, but her alibi places her in Kyoto when he disappeared.

As Detectives Kusanagi and Utsumi dig into the people around her, including an eccentric artist who was like a mother to her, they turn once again to physicist Manabu Yukawa, the brilliant ‘Detective Galileo’ — and the case leads somewhere painfully close to his own past. A new Galileo mystery from the author of The Devotion of Suspect X.
