On a Sunday, 26-year-old widow Sudha tells her 7-year-old sun Ahish that she will go to the market. He wants to join her at all costs, but she leaves him at home with explicit instructions not to leave the house. When his 14-year old friend Neha visits him, his mother’s orders are soon forgotten. Together they leave the house to explore the neighbourhood. Then both of them observe that his mother is not on the market but hiding a secret instead.
