The Amberglow Candy Store – Hiyoko Kurisu

Description

At the end of Gloaming Lane, you’ll find the Amberglow Candy Store, open only between the full moon and new moon. Kogetsu, the store’s half-fox proprietor, offers wagashi confections that promise to change your life for the better.

Whether you’re a lovesick teenage girl, a cripplingly shy estate agent, or a struggling first time mother, the mysterious Kogetsu has a sweet for your troubles. But be careful to follow the dosage!

Like the centre of the chewiest caramel, these life lessons only slowly reveal themselves – as Kogetsu’s customers are about to discover . . .

The Amberglow Candy Store is a charming and cosy novel from Japan, that shows that help is always out there for those who seek it.
